About Gill Digital Media

I'm Frederick Gill founder and sole operator of GDM.

I plan, film, and deliver short-form content directly for local service businesses across Somerset, Dorset, and Devon.

GDM came from watching genuinely good local businesses lose work to competitors with weaker service but stronger online presence. The gap was almost never about quality it was about proof. The business doing good work had no visible evidence of it. That is the problem I built GDM to fix.

I am currently completing a Level 5 Media Production degree at Yeovil College University Centre, graduating mid-2026. My background is in short-form video, photography, and editorial production. I am self-taught across most of the technical side cameras, editing, sound built through real client work rather than studio theory.

Every client I work with deals with me directly. There is no account manager between strategy and delivery. When you send a message, I read it. When the content is filmed, I film it. When the edit comes back, I cut it. That is not a selling point it is just how the model works.

Why this works

Founder-led delivery only works if the standard stays high all the way through.

The process stays tighter when strategy, filming, editing, and handover stay with one person.

That means fewer dropped details, faster decisions, and content that still matches the reason it was commissioned in the first place.

If the route is wrong, I tell you directly. If Starter is enough, I say that. If monthly is too much too early, I say that as well.

The point is not to sell the biggest package. The point is to make the business easier to trust online.

How I work

How the founder-led delivery model works

Strategy before cameras

Message, audience, and goal are clarified first so production is commercially useful.

On-location by default

Real context builds trust faster than generic footage and makes local proof stronger.

Clear monthly rhythm

Cadence, file structure, and handover are consistent so your team can actually publish.

Direct accountability

You deal with one person throughout. Decisions, timelines, and quality stay aligned.

Scope agreed upfront

Scope, filming dates, and delivery windows are agreed before booking. You know what you will receive and what it costs before production starts.

Delivery model

  3. Step 03

    Production + edit

I handle filming and edit pipeline, with platform-ready output and caption support.

  4. Step 04

    Handover + deployment

Structured Drive delivery so publishing is straightforward and repeatable each cycle.

FAQ

Answers before you enquire

How much does this usually cost? +

Pricing depends on route and scope. Most clients start with Starter or Retainer. You can view pricing first, then get a direct recommendation based on your business stage.

How much owner time is needed each month? +

Usually 2-4 hours monthly, mainly filming windows. Planning, editing, captions, and delivery structure are handled for you.

Do you only work with one type of business? +

No. Core fit is owner-led local service businesses where trust and visibility drive enquiries: trades, coaching, hospitality, and similar.

Do you work on location? +

Yes. Most projects are filmed on location because authentic context builds trust faster than generic studio-style content.

What areas do you cover? +

Primary coverage is Somerset, Dorset, and Devon. Nearby areas can still be scoped depending on project requirements.

Can I start one-off before committing monthly? +

Yes. Many clients start with Starter to prove fit, then move into a monthly system once cadence and output are working commercially.
